December 2022
Today we finally welcomed Sara and Najla!

Sara and Najla are one year old cubs. Sara was kept by people in the desert of Kuwait. If they couldn’t sell her, they would shoot this young lioness. She was malnourished. Sara’s teeth were filed and she is defanged and declawed, leaving her completely defenseless.  Najla was purchased illegally by a private citizen when she was very small.

They was rescued and taken to Kuwait Zoo, who nursed them back to health until they were strong enough to move to their safe, large new home at The Lions Foundation. As soon as we had the permits and raised enough funds for transport they were taken to their safe, large new home at The Lions Foundation.

Thank you so much to everyone who donated, and enabled us, to give Sara and Najla the best life. We truly appreciate it!
