Simba
Born: 2011
Comes from Serengetipark Hodenhagen, Germany
Simba came to Stichting Leeuw in 2012, from Serengetipark Hodenhagen in Germany, together with his Isolde, as a 7-months-old cub. Simba is a quiet, delightfully lazy lion. He doesn’t worry about anything, and doesn’t have to, for he is well taken care of. He is not just a stunning lion, but he also has a comical character.
Simba and Isolde were welcomed at The Lions Foundation in December 2020. We were very sad when Isolde passed away in June 2021, after a fatal bite from Simba. The reason for this tragic incident is unclear, but it is behaviour that occurs in the wild too, unfortunately.
